First sunset in February 2014

I went out tonight, all smug with my new tripod and my DSLR, bent on taking the world's most amazing sunset photos. Only it was a lot harder than I expected! I appreciate any low-light and tripod-use advice the world has to offer. In the meantime, here are the results:

Video: Snow Timelapse - 2 January 2014

I got a new tripod for Christmas! So, I busted it out for Thursday's snow storm. Here is a time lapse video of the 2 January 2014 storm turning the view out my window into a winter wonderland. There was a small -- okay, quite large actually -- blanket fail, where the blanket that was supposed to be keeping the frame nice and dark actually enters the frame several times. Oh, well. Better blanket luck next time!
